Humanitarian Dialogue for a Stronger Region

Representatives of ASB Ukraine held a meeting with the management of the Mykolaiv Oblast Administration Миколаївська обласна державна адміністрація regarding the expansion of humanitarian cooperation.
 
Among those attending the event were Dmytro Tarasenko, expert from the Mykolaiv Oblast Regional Development Agency, as well as representatives from the departments of social protection, health care, economic development, and child welfare services.

ASB Ukraine was represented by:

Fatima Azizova - Head of the ASB Ukraine mission
Serhii Burlachenko - Head of Program/Area Coordinator
Tetiana Miedviedieva - Project Officer
Olena Komissarova - Project Officer, Income Generation Activities
 
This meeting was intended to assess the critical needs of the region and identify priority areas for cooperation within the framework of ASB Ukraine's activities.

During the presentation, some of ASB Ukraine's key areas of activity were outlined, including:

 
– reconstruction of basic infrastructure in the fields of healthcare, education and social protection; – providing support to healthcare facilities through medical equipment donation;
– provision of financial and humanitarian aid in kind;
– conducting activities focused on supporting and developing entrepreneurship;
 
ASB Ukraine operates with the support of four main donors: 

The parties discussed opportunities for implementing joint projects in the areas of healthcare, social protection, education and support for internally displaced people.

Representatives of Mykolaiv Oblast defined the region's priority needs, particularly:

 
- reconstruction shelters in medical facilities and social institutions;
- recovery of critical infrastructure;
- ensuring accessibility of facilities for people with disabilities;
- development of youth programmes and support for local businesses.
 
This meeting marked an important step in forming a partnership aimed at recovery critical infrastructure, strengthening communities, and improving living conditions for the oblast's residents.
