Mental health support is absolutely essential for those working in humanitarian response. Constant pressure, high levels of responsibility, and emotional involvement can gradually wear down even the most resilient individuals. Caring for psychological well-being is not a luxury. It’s a vital part of safety.
ASB Ukraine team took part in a mental health session on «Building coping mechanisms for emotional and physical safety». We explored ways to respond to stress, maintain inner balance, and support one another in challenging circumstances. It was a valuable space for reflection, connection, and strengthening team resilience.
Sessions like this help us not only better understand ourselves, but also foster a culture of care within the humanitarian community. A strong team is not just about professionalism. It’s about being there for each other when it truly matters.
