Supporting the creation of a modern and safe recovery space

In 2025, renovations were carried out in the fourth psychiatric unit of the Kyiv Regional Mental Health Center. The facility received repair materials from ASB Ukraine as part of the project “Modernisation of medical equipment for the rehabilitation of healthcare facilities.” The Regional Mental Health Center, in its turn, ensured high-quality renovation using the materials provided.
As a result, the premises were completely renovated: walls, ceilings, floors, and electrical wiring. All of the abovementioned not only improved the appearance, but also ensured durability, safety, and compliance with modern requirements.
“Thank you to ASB Ukraine for the help provided. This is very important for our facility. The renovation has significantly improved conditions for both patients and staff,” emphasized General Director Nataliia Kravchuk.
“Comfortable conditions are not a secondary factor, but an important part of the healing process. The atmosphere of the space directly affects the emotional state of patients, helps to reduce anxiety, and helps to restore inner balance more quickly,” said Medical Director Mariia Denysenko.
New flooring provides a sense of stability, quietness, and cleanliness. Reliable and modern electrical installation solutions ensure safe and stable power supply, which is necessary for the uninterrupted and reliable operation of medical equipment and a comfortable patients stay. To provide additional comfort for patients and ensure barrier-free accessibility of the facility, a modern wheelchair ramp has been installed.
According to a staff survey conducted after the ward renovation, the most noticeable changes were increased patients comfort and improved working conditions for medical staff. The newly renovated conditions create an atmosphere that promotes trust in doctors and the institution as a whole. The staff also emphasizes that the renovation has helped to ensure equal access to high-quality treatment, which has a positive impact on both patients and their families.
The importance of this assistance is also confirmed by the results: during the period since the department was renovated, approximately 240 patients have already undergone treatment, and approximately 50–55 people receive medical assistance here monthly.
