UKR2305: Project Results and Achievements
30/04/2026
The project “Emergency humanitarian assistance through cash, in-kind and services in the areas of basic needs, food security, hygiene, winterization and psychosocial support for conflict-affected people of Ukraine including Ukrainians who fled to Georgia” has been completed.
Summarizing the results:
Project duration: June 2023 – December 2025.
Geographic coverage: 9 oblasts of Ukraine (Kyiv, Poltavа, Dnipro, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv oblasts).
Key results:
36 000 people were able to cover their households’ basic needs through multipurpose cash assistance (MPCA).
6 088 families received winterization support over three seasons, helping them get through the cold period.
6 018 people (children, adults, elderly people, including people with disabilities) received psychosocial support through centers and mobile teams.
In times of war, even basic necessities become critically important. For many families, the assistance received meant the ability to preserve their health and dignity. Cash support gave people the freedom of choice, allowing them to determine their spending priorities independently, while winterization support helped thousands of families get through the cold months without fear of being left without heating. Equally important was psychosocial support, which helped children, adults, and elderly people cope with stress, regain a sense of safety, and restore hope for the future.
Feedback from assistance recipients:
98,3% expressed satisfaction with the assistance (compared to the target of 85%).
99% confirmed that the assistance was safe, accessible, and transparent (compared to the target of 85%).
Over 95% of surveyed multipurpose cash assistance recipients stated that they were able to cover their households’ basic needs (compared to the target of 75%).
ASB Ukraine sincerely thanks Auswärtiges Amt for funding and supporting this project.
