A monitoring visit to Avdiivka Central City Hospital

Conducted a monitoring visit to Avdiivka Central City Hospital, where ASB Ukraine has been implementing the project «Modernization of medical equipment for the rehabilitation of healthcare facilities» with the financial support of NACHBAR IN NOT.
Avdiivka Central City Hospital currently relocated from Donetsk region to Kyiv. During the project, the hospital has been supplied with medical equipment for diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases, namely electrocardiographs as well as specific diagnostic equipment indicated for use by otolaryngologists. This includes an audiometer for hearing examination together with a cabin for audiometric measurements and electroneuromyograph used by neurologists for diagnostic and treatment of nerve conduction in peripheral nerves.
Such equipment enables highly effective diagnostics of hearing disorders and testing of hearing aids in patients with hearing disorders, the number of which is constantly growing due to the increased incidence of explosive ear traumas, caused by the military actions.
«The electrocardiograph as well as other medical equipment such as audiometer and audiometric booth, muscle stimulator, electromyograph, Holter monitor are a very significant assistance for our hospital. We are happy to use this 12-channel device, which works very conveniently, quickly and informatively, so we are very satisfied with it. This is convenient for both patients who need to undergo a heart examination and those who need to visit a cardiologist separately. In addition, in one of our ambulances sits the second cardiograph to help those who need to be examined at home and for certain reasons cannot physically get to the hospital. Using an audiometer and an audiometric booth, we can detect as well as treat and diagnose the hearing pathologies promptly. We can test the hearing aids also. It’s important to note, that there are only some booths in Kyiv like that, and one of them, as you see, is ours. Such equipment has increased access to quality medical treatment for patients.
