ASB Ukraine

Since the beginning of the conflict in the East of the country in 2014, ASB has been implementing humanitarian interventions in Ukraine in cooperation with its local partner, Samaritan Union of Ukraine (SSU).

In 2014-2018, thanks to the financial support of the the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, thousands of internally displaced persons in Ukraine were supported with food and hygiene kits, winter clothes, medications and basic medical care.

In 2016 ASB opened a representative office in Ukraine with an aim to coordinate the relief operations. Currently ASB has offices in Kyiv and Sievierodonetsk.

Since 2018, ASB’s humanitarian activities have focused on the 5-kilometer zone along the ‘contact line’ (government-controlled areas of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts). ASB supports vulnerable categories of the conflict-affected populations with food, hygiene and winterization assistance. The project activities are funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
