ASB Ukraine continues to assess the needs of hromadas within the «Rebuilding Roots» project, which is being implemented with the support of the donor Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) - Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
This time, our representatives visited the village of Kamyanka, Skole district, Lviv region, and met with the Head of the Lviv Regional Center for Local History, Excursions, and Tourism for School Students Yuriy Tkachenko and the Head of the children's tourist base "Karpaty" Yuriy Marynych.
During the dialogue, Yuriy Tkachenko introduced our representatives to the key areas of the center's work, the main one of which is extracurricular education of schoolchildren of Lviv region. Information about the children's tourist base "Karpaty" and its main needs (renovation of premises) was also presented.
As a result of the visit, both parties agreed to continue the dialogue on needs assessment.
Lviv region is one of the four regions where our project is being implemented, so the assessment of needs is continuing.
We would also like to remind that the «Rebuilding Roots» project will be aimed at the three main thematic areas:
- Basic infrastructure reconstruction;
- Improvement of the quality of health care facilities;
- Improvement of the social and economic participation of community members through income generation activities, capacity building, strengthened institutions and an active civil society.

The main objective is to strengthen the capacity and well-being of communities through the inclusive reconstruction of physical and social infrastructure.
