ASB Ukraine representatives attended a full 4-day HEAT training

ASB Ukraine representatives attended a full 4-day HEAT training (Hostile Environment Awareness Training).

Every day humanitarian organizations employees, including ASB Ukraine employees as well, face various work-related risks. Thus, the safe behavior rules knowledge guarantees their health.
 
HEAT is an intensive training course consists of theoretical and practical exercises which learn to work in a hostile environment safely. The course is conducted for non-governmental humanitarian organizations representatives as well as volunteers, media workers, state administration representatives etc.
 
During the training, our employees acquired the following important skills such as:
 
- provision of medical assistance in field conditions under the MARCH system.
- learned to apply a tourniquet properly and stop massive bleeding.
- learned the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- learned the rules of behavior in mine threat case
- learned, how to provide the first aid in road accident case correctly
- acquired the correct fire extinguisher using skill
- worked with a psychologist within a separate session
- moreover, a lot of useful information was also learned.
 
At the end of the training, all participants received certificates.
