Financial assistance is always useful

Oleksandr Oleksandrovych used to live in Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast until the full-scale invasion started in early 2022. The man stayed in Bakhmut as long as he could. But in September 2022, when the explosions came again, he realized it was time to leave.
At the moment he is living in Dnipro in a shelter where he is renting a room. There are also 4 persons living in the room.
In the evenings he continues to paint, immersing himself in his world and finding solace in his art. When he draws, he feels that he has regained a piece of normal life again.
Multi-purpose cash from ASB Ukraine, with the financial support from the German Foreign Ministry (GFM) Auswärtiges Amt, came in handy for the man. A part of the money he spent on food and rent.
«I hope that when the war is over, someone will help me to rebuild my house, which was damaged due to shelling, and the rest are just small things» - Oleksandr Oleksandrovych says.
He thanks ASB for their help in difficult times and dreams of the day when Bakhmut will once again become a peaceful and safe place for all its residents.
